Olefins - Ethylene Americas Monthly Market Overview November 2019
This report is currently unavailable
Report summary
November US ethylene spot prices assessed at Mont Belvieu have averaged near 21 cts/lb, falling about 4 cts/lb from the October average. The October contract price settled at 29.75 cts/lb, a 0.75 ct increase over September. November is yet to settle. Prices quickly fell mid month as ExxonMobil’s Baytown facility was heard to be restarting. The site had been partially offline since a propylene splitter fire in late July. Spot prices rose late month as PE and EO/MEG demand continued to rise even as those markets face low export prices.
