Commodity Market Report
Polypropylene North America monthly market overview February 2019
This report is currently unavailable
Report summary
Polypropylene producers continued to benefit from low propylene feedstock costs, as margins remained steady. Operating rates were high, supported by ample availability of propylene. This enabled inventory building as producers started preparing for the spring maintenance season. Markets were long as buyers were slow to return after the seasonal lull, although underlying demand was good. Lower domestic prices closed the arbitrage for importing Asian and Middle Eastern polypropylene.
