Commodity Market Report
Polypropylene North America monthly market overview March 2019
This report is currently unavailable
Report summary
Polypropylene producers saw steady margins as propylene feedstock costs reached the low point. High utilisation since quarter four 2018 allowed stock building as players were well prepared for the spring maintenance season. Markets dipped in February before gaining the momentum in March, as underlying demand remained healthy in advance of the peak manufacturing season in quarter two. Low domestic prices kept the arbitrage window for imports closed, while exports markets to Mexico and Latin America looked promising.
