The polyester industry has been mired in uncertainties since the start of the US-China trade war last year. China is the world's biggest textile and polyester manufacturing base and the US is arguably its most important market. Trade tensions curtailing Chinese textile exports to the US will and have started to impact on the polyester industry. And it's not only the textile and polyester producers feeling the pinch; the rest of the polyester chain is also affected by this trade war.
