On Thursday, 13th December, Sushant Gupta, Research Director in Refining & Steve Zinger, Senior VP in Chemicals, presented our view on refining and chemical integration. For most refiners and chemical producers, the need to improve margins and remain competitive has never been greater. Refining overcapacity, IMO regulation changes, threat from peak oil demand, rising appetite for petrochemical feedstock and shift in product demand patterns is driving the interest around refining and chemical integration.
