Report summary
2023 and 2024 were a time of growth for Colombia coal production despite numerous challenges. Total Colombian coal production increased to 53.3 Mt in 2023, up from 51 Mt in 2022, and is expected to end 2024 at around 59 Mt. Much of the growth in 2024 is destined to the Asia Pacific market.
