Dendrobium is one of the lowest cost underground operations in Australia and forms part of South32's Illawarra Coal group of coal mines on the south coast of New South Wales. Dendrobium's Wongawilli seam coal is used for blending with Bulli seam coal from South32's Appin and West Cliff operations to produce the premium Illawarra coking coal brand. Thermal coal for export is also produced at Dendrobium.
