Report summary

With coal prices expected to fall from current spot and contract levels over the next two years, we examine the countries and companies expected to remain profitable and those most at risk. Our assessment is based on life of mine benchmark breakeven prices for operating mines selling coal into the seaborne market, including China's coastal domestic market, with separate analysis for metallurgical and thermal coal.
