Indonesia election result signals positive note for resources sector
This report is currently unavailable
Report summary
Exit polls suggest a victory for Joko Widodo-Jusuf Kalla in Indonesia's Presidential Election. Jokowi's victory is unlikely to reverse current official policies such as the ban on mineral exports, requirements for divesture of foreign ownership, Coal Contracts of Work renegotiation and higher taxes for mining companies. However the new government could still shift the regulatory environment to one more accommodating of foreign investment and mining in general.
