Kuansing Inti Makmur coal mine
Report summary
Kuansing Inti Makmur (KIM) is a sub-bituminous thermal coal mine, covering a 26 square kilometre area over eight adjacent concessions in the Jambi province of Sumatra. KIM is located about 300 kilometres to the south-east of the Padang Port in West Sumatra. The mine includes two pits - KIM East and KIM West - under Izin Usaha Pertambangan Produksi (IUPs) that were awarded in 2009 and 2010. Wood Mackenzie’s asset reports are built from the bottom up, incorporating a number of granular data metrics to ultimately produce our industry standard cash operating costs. This report contains a detailed asset note giving you a holistic view of the asset, including an operational overview through to a timeline of events from inception to now. This qualitative analysis is supplemented by the associated Excel download which enables interrogation of a whole series of cost and production metrics over the life of the asset.
