Mafube coal mine

Report summary

Mafube is a thermal coal mine established jointly by Exxaro Resources and Anglo American. The mine is located in the Witbank Coalfield of the Mpumalanga Province, adjacent to Eskom's Arnot power station. Mafube supplies high ash (HA) thermal coal to the export market and a low-grade middling product to the Arnot power station.
