Report summary
Newlands Northern is an underground longwall operation that is part of Glencore's Newlands - Collinsville - Abbot Point Joint Venture (NCA) located in the northern Bowen Basin. The mine produces thermal coal for export markets. Newlands Northern operates within mining leases ML4748 and ML10352 and is owned and operated by Glencore. The mine was closed in 2016 and although further resources exist in the lease areas we do not expect the mine to reopen.
