Asset Report
Norwich Park coal mine
Report summary
Norwich Park is located in Queensland’s Bowen Basin. The BHP Billiton Mitsubishi Alliance (BMA) stopped operations at the mine in April 2012 due to falling production rates and increasing costs. We expect BMA to bring the mine back into operation over the longer term because of its high quality reserves. But the mine's total cash costs will remain expensive after it resumes due to a high strip ratio.
