Tanito Harum coal mine
Report summary
Tanito Harum is a bituminous thermal coal mine located in East Kalimantan, approximately 60 kilometres west of Samarinda. It is owned by Tanito Coal, a privately owned Indonesian company. Tanito Harum started producing coal in the early 1980s at the Loa Tebu side of the concession under a KP agreement. This was later changed on 30 January 1997 when the operation was awarded a Generation I Coal Cooperation Agreement. Its license was cancelled in January 2019 and it was subsequently closed.
