Asset Report
West Cliff coal mine
Report summary
West Cliff forms part of South32's Illawarra Coal group of coal mines on the south coast of New South Wales, following the spinoff from BHP Billiton. West Cliff produces a high quality hard coking coal from the Bulli seam for both export and domestic consumption. We expect West Cliff to cease operations in 2016, when the longwall will be relocated to South32's neighbouring Appin mine (see separate analysis).
