Ineos Americas LLC has announced its acquisition of Axiall Corporation’s aromatics business. This transaction includes Axiall’s cumene asset and Axiall’s phenol / acetone / AMS business. The phenol unit in Plaquemine, LA however will be retained by Axiall but will be closed by the end of the year.
