Wood Mackenzie presented at African Utility Week in Cape Town, South Africa on 15 May 2019 in the Power Strategy Development Track. Africa will host 60 GW of grid-tied solar and wind capacity by 2024, driven by improvements in grid infrastructure and regional power trading, which can boost project bankability, but also held back by traditional infra risks.
