Report summary

Two thirds of the electricity output in Mexico will come from natural gas by 2035. The reform will accelerate Mexico's transition away oil fired power generation. CFE will be unbundled and a new independent dispatcher CENACE will operate the system. Mexico will promote the increase of renewables particularly geothermal to diversity its generation matrix.
