Commodity Market Report
Spain energy markets long-term outlook H1 2015
Report summary
End use consumption in Spain is recovering in 2015 for the first time in seven years, with a year-on-year expansion of 1.3%. After facing a double dip recession in 2009 and 2012, the Spanish economy showed in 2014 the first signs of sustained recovery. Yet, the cumulative effect of the Spanish crisis was to eliminate eight years of energy demand growth and keeping consumption below pre-recession levels throughout the forecast.
