Arun LNG ships its final cargo, conversion to regas now begins
This report is currently unavailable
Report summary
The Arun LNG plant has concluded its liquefaction operation. The plant is sending its final cargo to KOGAS on 15 October 2014, ending 36 years of exports. The plant’s conversion into a regasification facility will now start, targeting to start operations in early 2015. Arun's liquefaction closure marks the end of Aceh’s LNG export story. But the conversion project - and the pipeline interconnection to Medan, could bring new life and opportunities to gas industries in North Sumatra.
