Commodity Market Report
Global short-term LNG demand tracker (Q3 2022)
Report summary
As Russian flows declined, LNG imports have been essential for storage refill in Europe. Regas terminals in Belgium, France and the Netherlands continue to operate at maximum utilisation levels, while the UK imports remain low due to constraints on export capacity on BBL and Interconnector, and a limited ability to absorb gas domestically. Asian gas consumption and spot buying fell sharply in response to soaring LNG prices. We expect APAC imports will remain flat next year despite some demand recovery in China.
