How will Gasoducto Norte reversal delay impact Argentina in 2024?
Report summary
Argentina's original Gasoducto Norte reversal project for 19 Mcmd gas would be sufficient to meet Northwest demand this winter and to resume exports to Northern Chile from September onwards. However, delays related to President Javier Milei's Chainsaw Plan threaten this plan. In this insight, we simulated two modelled scenarios and compared them with the original plan to understand how the delay could impact the country's gas balance, supply options and economic costs. Check out the findings and consequences to Argentina as the cold season approaches.
