LNG trades in Europe at a turning point
This report is currently unavailable
Report summary
In April 2016, the LNG NW Europe DES price traded below NBP once again. However, unlike in winter 2014/2015, this time we expect this discount to NBP to be more prolonged. With five trains commissioned in Australia in the last year, we expect the requirement for Atlantic to Pacific LNG trades to decrease and the Japan LNG spot price to converge with NBP through the summer. We consider the implications of increasing LNG trades in Europe.
