North America gas markets short-term outlook: Record heat elevates power demand

Report summary

Blistering hot temperatures are stressing out not only our air conditioners running around the clock but perhaps other energy infrastructure as well. Additional explosions have occurred at pipelines, an NGL fractionation facility, and even at a transformer at the Hoover Dam. Record heat is resulting in elevated gas burns.
