Report summary
Winter is not over after all as Punxsutawney Phil saw his shadow. Colder weather persisting into early March has reduced US gas storage levels further. Starting from a lower point will put a higher requirement for summer injections to ramp up. In order to refill storage adequately before the start of next winter US gas production needs to increase concurrently as gas power demand decreases. Fundamentally, elevated prices should be able to achieve both but if not, Henry Hub's correlation to global gas prices may reappear.
