Commodity Market Report
North America gas markets weekly update: December contract climbs above $4.50
Report summary
Inventories have not been this low the second week of November since 2003. A big increase in heating degree days, lower wind generation and some surprising supply freeze-offs will combine to bring on a withdrawal of 114 bcf. A normal injection this time of year is only 25 bcf. The cold weather should revert back to normal over the next ten days if the current forecasts are correct. Cold surprises and a growing storage deficit would bring about more price volatility.
