Commodity Market Report
North America gas markets weekly update: January $4.50 – April $2.97
Report summary
We are expecting withdrawals of 81 bcf, 130 bcf and 90 bcf over the next three EIA reports. The HDD accumulations are on track to be very close to normal in December. Inventories are still at 15 year lows, but normal weather thus far in December is reducing volatility in gas futures. Production has continued to consistently make new highs this fall. Demand has also reached new highs, but it has not been consistent. The surprisingly high demand weeks have only come with high degree day totals.
