North America gas weekly update: Avoiding record storage levels
Report summary
The market balance has continued to veer further into under-supplied territory, as Hurricane Delta ended up reducing supply more than demand. • Despite following the same track as the earlier Hurricane Laura, its weaker intensity at landfall resulted in far less damage: no large-scale power outages, and no need for dredging. • As such, LNG feed gas levels avoided further disruption and ramped up further on the resumption of Cameron and Cove Point LNG. . The tighter market is capping injections, and we now expect storage levels to avoid setting a new record high.
