Pipeline outages are wreaking havoc on US gas production, especially in the Permian. However, be aware that these are only temporary – just like economic wellhead shut-ins. Eventually they will roll off and clear the way for a step up of supply from current lows. LNG feedgas can help negate it with a lighter-than-normal maintenance schedule, as announced by Cheniere, who controls half of current US LNG export capacity. Better yet, the next wave of LNG export projects is gearing up for first gas, not just in the US but in Mexico and Canada as well.
