North America gas weekly update: colder weather averts further gas price slide
Report summary
The return of colder weather after a very mild week ending 8 February has halted the slide in Henry Hub gas prices. West of the Rockies remains very cold, and colder weather has also returned to other parts as well. March 2019 Henry Hub prompt month prices that slid down under $2.60 have stabilized for the time being at $2.65/mmbtu. However, peak winter weather is likely coming to an end, and if US gas production resumes its growth trajectory and demand levels rapidly fall as we enter spring, further downside may be possible.
