North America gas weekly update: Honey, I shrunk the storage deficit
Report summary
A longer, warmer end to winter has shrunk the deficit, and the second week of injections proved much higher than expected. Production increases and lower feed gas intake certainly helped add to inventories, yet the jury is still out. Longer days have solar indices creeping upward, and Henry Hub will be range bound until production and power have been resolved. For now, milder weather and consequently lower heating demand are keeping a lid on prompt Henry Hub prices. Watch for even larger injections, and we expect to end up above 1.3 tcf by the week ending April 19.
