North America gas weekly update: How low can Henry Hub go?
Report summary
The prompt March Henry Hub gas contract is yet again lower, as weather, global prices and concerns around the ongoing coronavirus all piling on. How low can Henry Hub gas prices go? Once again we have to look back to history. March 2016 settled at $1.71/mmbtu after record storage levels ran into a non-existent winter. Production and power adjusted then, and we anticipate the same will happen this year. Added LNG demand, however, is getting murkier with global LNG oversupply increasingly becoming a reality rather than risk.
