Something is fundamentally broken with North America gas markets. More than 200 bcf of storage is expected to be withdrawn in a week, which will likely be the largest withdrawal this season, US gas production continues to decline and LNG feed gas deliveries are higher than ever, at north of 9 bcfd. Yet the prompt NYMEX Henry Hub contract is still trading at under $2/mmbtu? When will Henry Hub gas prices recover? The supply-demand imbalance is continuing to tighten, rebalancing markets for brighter days ahead.
