Commodity Market Report
North America gas weekly update: LNG road closures
Report summary
Hurricanes have now caused disruptions at Gulf Coast LNG terminals a couple of times this year. While Hurricane Delta did not cause damage at the terminals themselves, it has managed to place obstacles in the paths of LNG tankers trying to make their ways to the terminals. • As a result, LNG feed gas draw is down relative to expectations, and gas that was earmarked for LNG is now finding its way into storage, continuing to put pressure on spot markets. • End of season levels are no longer expected to break records, however, as production downgrades continue to keep injections low relative to last year.
