Yet another major hurricane is set to make landfall in western Florida. With its track forecast well southeast of major offshore producing areas, only minor supply impacts will result. As in the days following Hurricane Helene, large power outages in Florida are likely to occur. However, Hurricane Milton’s track seems to suggest a more intense but shorter impact on mainland Florida before it exits into the Atlantic Ocean. This weekly natural gas commodity report seeks to explore: • How much power demand loss might result in Florida? • Is Matterhorn delivering incremental Permian supply? • Why haven’t supply curtailments unwound?
