Report summary
After a mild start to the summer injection season significantly increasing injections, summer weather is starting to show up in weather maps Injections over the next three EIA storage reports are expected to be relatively inline to both the 5-year average and last year. Despite avoiding triple digit injections, June 2019 prompt Henry Hub gas prices have remained unchanged at slightly above $2.60/mmbtu. As the mercury rises to triple digits in the Southeast, key market questions include • Will storage injections surprise to the downside • How high will power demand rise with lower prices compared to last year • And will production finally show up to negate higher cooling loads and exports
