North America gas weekly update: the rise of LNG
Report summary
If not for the rise of LNG, storage injections this week would have been higher. Return of record LNG feed gas volumes from maintenance and commissioning issues helped to keep Henry Hub somewhat stable, despite stubbornly high production. Slacking power demand as we enter the shoulder season will increase storage injections. Will the rise of LNG be enough to keep record production in check? And will Mexican exports materialize to help? Winter is still far off.
