Commodity Market Report
North America gas weekly update: US gas production rebounding
Report summary
Late April cold is providing a lifeline to Henry Hub gas markets. Prices have so far avoided tumbling back below $2/mmbtu, but regional prices, such as in the Northeast, are near wellhead shut-in economics during periods of pipeline maintenance. Meanwhile, US gas production has rebounded post-maintenance and will require to be limited further by the next round of pipeline maintenance. The weekly commodity report includes: • Our next three storage estimates and implications for the current storage surplus • Impact of weather on gas market balances • Record LNG feedgas levels and factors ahead
