This report is currently unavailable
Report summary
Poland has taken a step closer to ending dependence on Russian gas imports after state-owned gas buyer PGNiG signed two preliminary contracts with Sempra LNG and Venture Global, each for 2 mmtpa over 20 years. These new volumes would represent a significant increase to the 2.17 mmtpa currently contracted to Poland from Qatar. Efforts to increase gas imports are being carried out to replace the current Gazprom contract for 10.2 bcm/yr.
