Report summary

The Shanghai Municipal Development and Reform Commission announced on August 5 th that residential gas prices will be increased from September 1 st . Prices will rise significantly and will be tiered according to overall levels of consumption, with the base price rising by over 20% to RMB3/m 3 (US$14/mcf), while top tier prices will reach RMB4.2/m 3 (US$19.3/mcf), the highest level in China.
