Webinar: Bright spots in a European gas market under lockdown
Report summary
Our European Gas experts hosted a webinar 6 May outlining the challenges the gas market faces in finding a balance in 2020. But also of some of the bright spots we see emerging. Although gas demand remains weak across all markets, our analysis suggests we are through the worst. European gas production remains resilient with piped supplies from Algeria and Norway under pressure as Russian flows hang on for market share. Storage is filling fast as LNG cargoes keep arriving on European shores - but space is running out and levels of US under-utilisation will continue to build into the summer.
