Webinar LNG short-term Q3 2018 – is the price rally going to continue?
Report summary
Asian prices rose strongly in Q3 and disconnected with Europe, a consequence of high temperatures and buyers preparing for winter. But China is better prepared to face a strong influx of LNG this winter, although regasification capacity is still a concern. We are now in a reverse situation where Asian prices are softening but European prices are rising. Cross-basin arbitrage is marginal and we are starting to see some LNG cargoes in NW Europe. How is this winter going to look like? How much demand is at risk from a mild winter?
