At the British Business Group Vietnam, Wood Mackenzie delivered a presentation that highlights the issues faced in the gas and power sector. Over the next 5 years, gas demand growth will be constrained by the lack of pipeline capacity in South East Vietnam. Consequently, EVN has decided to move towards building new coal fired power plants. In the event of delays, LNG could be a potential solution to meet growing demand.
