Report summary
Traders cautiously evaluate downside supply risks from Middle East conflict whilst NE Asian importers strengthen position for winter demand The November TTF price increased from $14.4 to circa $15.7 on the 18th of October, peaking at $17 on 13th of October. Henry hub prices dropped down to around $3.1 from the previous week’s $3.4. The November LNG price for delivery into NW Europe increased from $13.7 to about $16.2. Similarly, the November LNG price for delivery into NE Asia increased from $14.9 to about $16.8. Markets continue to monitor the situation with Israel and Hamas. The geopolitical factors at play present downside supply risk for Europe given that Egypt's LNG demand is primarily from Europe.
