Commodity Market Report
Global gas & LNG weekly summary: 23 Sep 2022
Report summary
Faster-than-expected European storage fill at center of TTF drop With European storage at 86%, edging above the 5-year average this week for the first time in 2022, TTF sold-off to $47 on Thursday, 22 September. This represents about a $12 drop, or about a 20% decrease, from its 15 September close. High LNG send-out and large injections continue to eclipse gradually increasing demand, record low net-piped imports, and the risk of more Russian supply cuts via Ukraine.
