Global LNG supply tracker Q1 2017: cracks emerge in the wall of new LNG supply
Report summary
Global LNG production grew by 3.3 Mt in Q3 16 to 66Mt. Ramp up of new trains at Sabine Pass in the US plus GLNG and Gorgon in Australia, increased send out into the market. Australian production in particular had a strong quarter increasing 26% on Q2. We expect global production to grow by a further 3% in Q4 (from Q3), as new facilities at Angola LNG, MLNG Train 9, APLNG Train 2 and Gorgon Train 2 ramp up. Included in the report are the latest updates on global LNG supply and expected start-up dates for projects under-construction. It is complemented by a global LNG supply spread sheet with country granularity.
