The Map Ta Phut LNG Terminal 2, previously known as the Nong Fab LNG Terminal, received approval for its construction from the National Energy Policy Council (NEPC) in May 2016. The terminal, located approximately 5.5km northwest of the existing Map Ta Phut 1 LNG terminal, is a subsidiary of PTT Public Company Limited, PTTLNG.
