Q2 North America LNG projects update: Driftwood FID in Tellurian’s line of sight
Report summary
Commercial activity surged in the second quarter. Tellurian announced two big deals with Gunvor and Vitol for 3 mmtpa each, and Woodfibre signed a second SPA for 0.75 mmtpa with BP. Binding sales across pre-FID LNG projects in the US Gulf Coast now stand at some 15 mmtpa. Projects in west Canada and Mexico are progressing too. Momentum is building for at least some of this capacity to reach FID. Our North America LNG Projects Update (Q2 2021) has our latest view of which projects we see as possible FIDs in 2021-22 and the key issues to watch.
