Regulatory approvals and commercial agreements advance: Q1 2017 North America LNG projects update
Report summary
Project activity: Woodfibre will award an EPC contract following a competitive FEED between KBR and JGC America, which started October 2016. Magnolia extended the validity period of its EPC contract with KBR/SK E&C joint venture until mid-2017 FERC Queue: Magnolia LNG and Golden Pass received FERC authorisation. Port Arthur and Jacksonville LNG started the main filing. FERC denied Jordan Cove LNG and Pacific Connector Pipeline a request for rehearing FID tracker: Woodfibre's parent company, Pacific Oil and Gas, authorised funding necessary for the project to proceed. A final investment decision is expected once the EPC contract has been awarded. Marketing: Texas LNG announced 3.1 mmtpa of term sheets with potential customers in China and Southeast Asia. Magnolia and Fairwood Peninsula, who owns Delfin LNG, entered into preliminary marketing and sales agreements with Indian infrastructure companies
