In a world of volatile oil and gas prices, increasingly fragmented geopolitics and ongoing conflicts in the Middle East and Ukraine, it’s possible that COP31 comes at one of the most challenging moments for international efforts on climate change. Given this, we present five things to look for at COP31 to help dispel some of the uncertainty. Ultimately, we do not expect COP31 to shift the dial in a much more meaningful way than last year’s COP which largely failed to achieve concrete progress.
